General Information

I offer private guided tours.
You are not going to be asked to meet somewhere, with a lot of other tourists and follow a fixed itinerary, like many tour operators usually do.
My services can be tailored following your requests, interests and needs. You can ask any question and if you change your mind about what you want to see, we can easily arrange a new itinerary at the very last second.
With me you are the guest, not just a tourist.

Prices (in total, not per person)
Half day tour (3 hours max): 120 Euros up to 10 people, 130 Euros for larger groups.
Full day tour: 230 Euros up to 10 people, 240 Euros for larger groups.

Get a 10% discount if you are traveling alone or if you book more than one tour.

Entrance fees in museums and Siena's Cathedral are not included.
Meals, wine tastings and tastings of other local products are not included and can vary depending on the winery and farm.

Renting earphones is strongly recommended for groups larger than 15 people, in order to enjoy better the visit and ear all the explanations inside religious buildings and museums. Ask me about the price for it.

Cancellation policy
In case of cancellation with less than 48 hours notice or in case of no show, you will be charged 50% of the minimum price.

Transportation to and from the meeting point, when needed, is not included. Some of the walks are not loops and, when possible, public transportation will be used.
It is also possible to organize private transportation in case you don’t have your own car.
If you need further details on local public transportations you can check the local bus company and Italian railways.

What to bring
Whatever you go on a full day walking tour or just on a half day city tour, you should have:
- comfortable clothes, that dry fast in case of rain
- a waterproof jacket
- walking shoes or hiking boots
- some water (the quantity depends on the kind of tour)
- sun cream
- sun glasses and a hat
- your camera and/or videocamera
There is not need of a first aid kit, I always carry it and have a CPR certification that meets the International Guidelines.

When to come
Any time of the year is good to come and visit this area! There is always something interesting to see and good local products to taste, in any season. It depends on your interests and free time availability. Spring is the best season to enjoy the wild flowers and the colourful poppies, in September there is the grape harvest going on, if you come in November you can taste the freshly made extra virgin olive oil.
Please contact me to check what is going on here during your holiday!

WHY DO I NEED THE LICENSES?
When I introduced myself I pointed out that I have two kinds of licenses.
According to the present Italian law, two different licenses are needed to lead city tours and hiking/country tours. The city tour guides (guida turistica) have been specifically trained and passed a specific test. With this kind of authorization only it is possible to guide tourists in Siena and its province explaining monuments and works of art.
The nature walks/hiking guides (guida ambientale escursionistica) have also been trained and passed a test that certifies their ability to lead walking tours in the several Natural Reserves and in the other areas of naturalistic value.

Furthermore, you can contact me if you need any help to build your itinerary and for free assistance regarding places to stay, restaurants, car rentals and anything you may need to have the best vacation ever!
